Crockpot Creole Chicken

7 chicken thighs OR 20 chicken wings, jointed and
1 chopped green bell pepper
6 green onions, chopped
1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1/2 pound of deboned pork chops
salt and pepper to taste
several drops hot pepper sauce
1/2 pound polish sausage, slice diagonally
3 cups cooked white rice
Brown chicken and pork in a little butter/oil combination.
Place chicken, pork, pepper, onions, tomatoes, tomato paste, seasonings, hot pepper sauce, and approximately 1 cup of water* in a slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, stirring occasionally.
After 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours, brown the sausage,
add the sausage and cooked rice to the mixture, turn the slow cooker control to high, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until the sausage and rice are hot.
*You may have to add more water.
