2c Sifted all purpose flour
1 tBaking powder 1 tSalt
deep fat for frying
Mix dry ingredients, work in shortening, add water, and mix well. Shape into 6 balls of equal size. Roll on eball of dough at a time to 1/8 inch thickness; cut each into 6 wedges. Fry in hot fat (375F) on a frying thermometer) until puffy and brown.
Makes 3 dozen.
