Strawberry Banana Pie

    2 pints thawed frozen strawberries
    1 cup sugar
    3 Tbsp cornstarch
    2 tsp lemon juice
    2 large bananas
    1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped
    1 9" baked pie crust

    Strain juice from strawberries and bring juice to a rolling boil. Dissolve cornstarch in a little cold water. Add cornstarch, sugar and lemon juice to the boiling strawberry juice. Boil, stirring, until mixture thickens and clears. Pour the thickened juice into the drained strawberries. Slice the bananas into the baked pie crust. Pour the strawberry mixture over the bananas. Chill. Serve with whipped cream.
