Squaw Bread

Recipe Preparation Level: easy
    1 c. soured milk
    1 1/2 t. oil
    1/4 t. baking soda
    1 1/2 t. heaping baking powder
    2 1/4 c flour

    Mix well until dough is formed. Roll to about 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter or into 2" strips. If strips, cut a slit in center. Fry in hot fat. Serve with powdered sugar, maple syrup, or molasses.
