Melt in a large pot
3 T lard [or bacon grease or Crisco]
4 large onions (diced)
Sauté until transparent.
1 t salt
4 T paprika
1/4 t pepper
1 (3-3˝ lb) chicken (cut in pieces)
Brown chicken on all sides
1 c chicken stock [or water or tomato juice]
4 potatoes (diced)
Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Shake pot occasionally to prevent sticking.
