Recipe Category: Dessert
Recipe Preparation Level: easy
4 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 lb. margarine or butter
1 pint marshmallow cream
1 large can evaporated milk
12 oz. chocolate chips
16 to 18 ozs. milk chocolate bars or milk chocolate chips
2 to 4 cups chopped nuts
Combine milk, sugar, and margarine. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally to keep from scorching. When mixture comes to a full boil, cook for 8 minutes, stirring constantly. In large bowl combine chocolate chips, broken up chocolate bars and marshmallow creme. Pour hot mixture over chocolate. Stir until thoroughly combined. Add nuts and stir in. Pour into lightly greased
(or cooking spray coated) jelly roll pan. Cool, cut into squares. Best kept in refrigerator in air tight container.
This recipe comes from my mom Pat and she makes
it for special occasions or holidays because it's so
rich and expensive to make (with nuts).
