HOLIDAY BERRIES AND BOWS

    8 oz bow tie pasta
    1/2 c lemon juice
    3 tbs finely chopped red onion
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 c olive oil
    5 oz pkg cranberry fruitlings
    1 1/2 c sliced broccoli florets
    1/2 c walnuts
    1/2 c crumbled blue or feta cheese
    1/3 c thinly sliced fresh basil or parsley

    Cook pasta in boiling, salted water as pkg directs. Drain, rinse with cold water and drain again. While pasta boils, combine lemon juice and onion in small bowl. Stir in sugar and salt until dissolved. Slowly stir in olive oil. In large bowl, toss pasta with dressing. cranberry fruitlings, broccoli, walnuts and blue cheese and basil. Chill. Makes about 6 cups.
