Cranberry Coffee Cake

    Batter:
    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 cups flour
    1 cup sour cream
    1 tsp almond extract
    1 14 oz can whole cranberry sauce
    1/2 cup chopped pecans

    Glaze:
    3/4 cup powdered sugar
    1/2 tsp almond flavoring
    2 Tbsp warm water or milk

    Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter. Add sugar gradually. Add Eggs, one at a time. Stir in dry ingredients alternating with sour cream to which almond extract has been added. Place half batter in greased and floured tube pan. Add half of cranberry sauce, spreading evenly. Sprinkle half of nuts. Add other half of batter, then cranberry sauce and remaining nuts. Bake for 50-55 minutes.
    Mix glaze ingredients, drizzle over warm cake.
