1/3 c sugar
2 teas. cornstarch
1 pint fresh blueberries, rinsed and sorted.
1 tab. fresh lemon juice`
1 teas. grated lemon zest
Stir sugar & cornstarch together in saucepan until blended. Add blueberries and heat, stirring, over low heat until mixture becomes juicy, boils and thickens. abpit 10 min.
Stir in lemon juice and zest. Cool slightly at room temperature before serving or serve cold. Serve this delicious sauce over ice, cream, frozen yogurt, cheesecake, angelfood cake, or sliced peaches or nectarines. Makes 2 cups or 6 - 8 servings.
